This week blog comes with absolute love and passion for helping you in your pursuit of success. I can promise you it’s not a preach about dieting, but more a list of tips and advice that following my experiences have hugely increased my energy, productivity, and positivity- especially when it comes to my brain power! I want to share with you some of these tips in the hope that it helps you too!

Life can be challenging when you are attempting to be the best mum, wife, partner, colleague, sister, auntie or friend, especially while you are maintaining the day job and building your business in the nooks and crannies of life. The truth is if we haven’t got the brain power or energy to fit business into these gaps- it often gets neglected taking us further away from our goals, creating self-sabotaging beliefs systems. This has been me for pretty much my entire entrepreneurial life- until recently that is! The lack of energy caused me to push my todays ‘to-do’ list to ‘tomorrows.’ I would sit and procrastinate for hours because I was too mentally fatigued to be productive but too stubborn to walk away from the computer, going to bed no closer to my goals (after an evening looking at my newsfeed!). The truth was I always had the time to achieve my goals but lacked the mental energy or clarity to follow through. Why do I tell you this? I know this story to be true for some of you too. It’s time to take control and be the most productive you can be!

OK so I can’t take the credit for this system as its come from my leading man- Mr. Tony Robbins; however, I can share my experience and what you can expect for you too! This is all about going GREEN and becoming an alkalising queen!

One thing I will say is that I am a firm believer that LIFE IS FOR LIVING and therefore being green 100% of the time was never going to work for me, however making a conscious effort 80% of the time has seen me feel like a new women whilst enjoying those guilty pleasures some of the time. If you manage to stick to it more then amazing but I promise you even just sticking to it 80% of the time, & avoiding the wrong foods will make you feel great.

The ten-day challenged recommends cutting the following foods out completely for at least ten days. I managed to stick to it 80% of the time and have maintained that and now made it part of everyday and I love it! Do what you can do and remember the difference between success and failure is 2mm. Small consistent changes yield substantial long-term results so trust in the process.

OK superwomen- are you ready to go green? – here are the recommendations from Mr. T:

Start your day Green! ALKALISE! – When you are consuming at least 70- 80% alkaline, life-giving foods, your body will naturally decrease its desire for those processed addictions. A green-based supplement such as pure greens is excellent here, and this is something I drink each morning now (www.morlife.com). My personal favorite is the pineapple and coconut flavor but alternatively get some lemon and hot water; it’s also great for removing the build-up of acid overnight.

OK, so foods to go for that are Alkaline forming include things like vegetables, almonds, avocados, lemons & limes! (have a google- you will be surprised what foods are more acid and what foods are more alkaline). Becoming aware of these foods will help you in the process!

So what foods to avoid- wait for it- this will include a lot of what you might love- but its worth it! Dairy products, refined white sugars, animal meat, caffeine, alcohol, and drugs. The theory is your total protein should be around 5-6% per day and should be plant-based sources which are more efficient and have more antioxidants. After the ten days, if you decide you need to eat animal flesh, it’s recommended to only eat it once a day and combine it with green vegetables (source organic or antibiotic-free meat). There are many alternatives to dairy products too (google if you’re not sure) but you want to avoid anything from cows! It’s about finding a replacement that will work for you 80% of the time and allow you to enjoy what you love the rest of the time.

I can’t deny, the first few days will be tough but it does get easier, and by day four you will feel like a new woman!

Remember its not about removing everything that makes you happy- FOOD IS LIFE and so we need to indulge on occasions but remember your business requires you to perform to the best of your abilities so becoming an alkalising queen for 80% of the time is going to serve you in getting to the next level.
