YOU HOLD THE POWER…
Did you know, YOU are in charge of your own thoughts…
So if you’re feeling like you had a really bad day, start to think of what you’re grateful for – count your blessings rather than the things that weren’t so good.
When I consciously realised that I was in charge of my own feelings, I stopped dwelling on things – there’s only me to blame for feeling that way.
Otherwise, I found myself feeling like I was reacting badly to most things, which put me in such a negative headspace.
I mean, sometimes, you have to let out your emotions, but, as Abigail has previously advised, put a timer on allowing those feelings into your day. Set a 5 minute timer on your phone to let our your emotions, then when the alarm goes off, you’re no longer allowed to feel that way.
It’s about decision making. You choose to react to situations with pain and upset, when you could flip it on it’s head and think of it with a growth mindset.
This won’t happen over night, but it will certainly come more naturally to you the more you practise it.
This attitude for me came from reading a book called: Stop Thinking Start Living by Richard Carlson – check it out!
Wishing you the most fabulous week!
